Do you speak other languages?

Yes. I do speak Portuguese, Spanish and I understand a bit of Italian as I am currently studying it.

There is a place/country where you would not go?

I don't put limitations on the countries where I could go, but for safety reasons, I will avoid sitting in places/countries that:

  • Are currently known to be under conflicts or wars.

  • Are currently known to not protect women's rights.

  • Are in areas of strict access, unaccessible by normal transportation methods or that taxi would not go.

  • Houses located in very remote areas where I cannot access food or help.

  • Very remote areas without neighbours in the surroundings.

  • Houses which do not offer habitable conditions and basic sanitary installations.

  • Houses in locations where mobile phone reception is limited or unavailable.

  • Houses that do not have a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Which information will you need from me?

Depending on the service you request I will reserve the right to ask for the documentation below and verify its legitimacy. For my security, this documentation is shared with my next of kin prior to my trip and I will be GPS tracked during my whole stay at your residency.

I have a security system set up with my next of kin in which if they don't hear from me in the period of time agreed between us the local authorities of the city I am in will be contacted.

Documents I may request:

  • Copy of your passport or ID.

  • Copy of the house contract or proof of house ownership.

  • Contact of a neighbour which I can call in case of emergency.

  • Local emergency contact numbers: Policy, Fire brigade, near hospital, local taxi services.

  • Contact of your veterinarian.

  • I will require you to sign an agreement of services upon payment with detailed notes of my stay and services covered.


Will I have any receipt or confirmation that I booked your services?

Yes. After we have agreed on the services I will provide and agreed the full price, you will receive an Agreement of Services via an online document to sign.

This document will highlight all the services that will be offered, what expenses will be covered by you and the final price.

I will not confirm your booking until the agreement has been signed and payment has been made. Upon payment, you will also have access to my ID in case you have any concerns about my identity.

When do I need to pay?

To secure your booking you must pay 50% of the final fee. Please, note that I can't secure/lock any dates for you if a security deposit has not been made as my travel schedule can be quite busy, especially during summertime when many people are taking holiday and I receive multiple requests.

I also do not secure your booking unless you have placed your security deposit as I need to buy my train/flight tickets in advance. The closest to the date tickets are bought, the more expensive they are and it will have an influence on the quoted price.

The other 50% of the amount must be paid to me on the day of my arrival at your place. I won't accept payments on your return.

Payments are by Bank Transfer only.

Can I cancel a booking?

I know that life can change and cancellations sometimes are inevitable. However, as I might have already bought train/flight tickets and have refused bookings from other clients, cancellation penalties will apply.

If the cancellation occurs on my side, due to sickness or any other reason, I will refund the full amount paid from your security deposit.

For how long can you pet or house-sit?

The amount of time, from the minimum to the maximum time can vary a lot depending on your location and how long will be the stay and trip.

If you are in the UK I might be able to support you for a longer period of time. In other countries, I might be limited by the amount of time I can spend on a tourist basis.

To set a limit I would say I can stay an average of 90 days at your location. The minimum time I require will again, vary regarding your location as the trip must be cost-effective.

For locations where the cost might not be effective, but you struggle to get a sitter, I might be able to talk about covering the costs of my flight/train tickets and doing discounted rates. Prices can be as individual as your situation. Book a call for us to talk.

Are your prices fixed or can I get a discount?

The price indicated is an estimate of how much usually I charge.

Nevertheless, each client might have unique situations and I am open to talking and trying to find something that works for both.

When the trip might not be cost-effective for me, covering the cost of my travel tickets and overall food costs might be a way for us to get to a reduced rate that is beneficial for both of us.

Do I need to provide food for your stay?

Partially. Unless agreed otherwise as part of a discounted rate I normally only require that you provide basic breakfast items such as cereals, granola, bread, butter, cheese, honey, tea and milk.

If we have agreed on full support with food in exchange for a reduced rate I will email you a list of items which I normally eat to be purchased.

If you pet-sit for me will you also look after my house and vice versa?

No. Pet Sitting & House Sitting are two different services. Take a look at the Services Pack description to understand what each one covers.

Although I will stay at your house while looking after your animals I won't perform any of the tasks included in the House Sitting Service Pack and vice versa. I can do discounted rates if you wish to have both services.

Why can't I see your contact details on this page?

As I tend to get a high number of spam emails and unsolicited calls and text messages with things unrelated to my business I no longer let visible my contact details on this page as spammers were just becoming overwhelming.
